Task Import

Presence can import Tasks or categories of Tasks from an external XML file. This is useful for migrating Tasks from one installation of Presence to another (e.g. from a development installation to a production installation), or for sending Tasks to International Presence for support purposes.

To import a Task or category of Tasks, right click in the Task Explorer and select "Import..." from the pop-up menu. You will then be asked to select an XML file for import. Select the file you wish to import then click Okay.

Some Tasks will be exported with a password to protect sensitive data such as database login credentials. If this is the case you will be prompted once to enter the password.

You will also be given the opportunity to use local resources instead of imported ones, which can be useful when you do not wish to recreate existing resources such as database connections.
