Message Transporters
Message Transporters are responsible for the delivery of fax or SMS messages to your service provider. There are three built-in methods for transporting such messages:
- Via a multi-message text file
- Via a single-message text file
- Via a Presence Task
Multi-Message Text File
A file is written to a local drop directory, and multiple messages are written to that file in the format specified. When the number of messages reaches a pre-determined limit (default 20) a new file is created.
Single-Message Text File
A text file is created for each message sent in the format specified and placed in a drop directory for your fax or SMS software to retrieve and process it.
Task Call Interface
A Presence Task is invoked to deal with the message.
